Here are the best movie quotes from the year 2000:
“I have to believe in a world outside my own mind. I have to believe that my actions still have meaning, even if I can’t remember them. I have to believe that when my eyes are closed, the world’s still there. Do I believe the world’s still there? Is it still out there?. Yeah. We all need mirrors to remind ourselves who we are. I’m no different.”
In death, there are no accidents, no coincidences, no mishaps and no escapes.
“Know what bugs me the most about those soaps? It’s people with no lives, watching other people’s fake lives.”
“A sword by itself rules nothing. It only comes alive in skilled hands.”
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
“I think we can’t go around measuring our goodness by what we don’t do, by what we deny ourselves, what we resist, and who we exclude. I think we’ve got to measure goodness by what we embrace, what we create, and who we include.”
“The key to a woman’s heart is an unexpected gift at an unexpected time.”
“Principles only mean something when you stick to them when it’s inconvenient.”
“What we do in life echoes in eternity.”
It’s a brave man who takes control of his own destiny.”
What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands, of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?
